These ten candidates are, to date, the ones who have filed to run on the Republican ballot.

What’s interesting about this list is the number of candidates who have no website or other internet presence.  Even someone as nominally well-known as Craig James, a former NFL player and ESPN analyst, has no website.  I did learn from several people working to schedule the candidates for the Saddle Up Texas Straw Poll next month that Craig James’ consultants – Arthur J Finkelstein & Assoc out of New York - said they may get in touch if they thought that it was worth it.  Meanwhile there’s no online presence, just an occasional article about his announcement.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks candidates running for such an important job as U.S. Senate ought to make every effort to be available to be questioned, or at least to have their viewpoints online for easy searching.  Candidates who don’t put their information out online give me the impression that they are not serious.

The following candidates agreed to speak at the Saddle Up Texas Straw Poll during January 12-14, so you can hear them for yourself and have an opportunity to meet them:

Glenn Addison

“Doc Joe” Agris

Ted Cruz

David Dewhurst

Tom Leppert

Lela Pittenger
