This weekend I was working on a PowerPoint presentation for my Grandfather. He’s near the end of his life and I want to send him a video to let him know how proud I am of him. He’s a tremendous man who’s lived, truly lived, his life. I hope to be as accomplished when I am his age, though I’ll never match one thing he’s done, which is to build the left wing on the Memphis Belle. That famous WW2 bomber. But that’s a story for another day.
While searching for images for my video, I did a brief search for Texas. What came up next should inspire ALL of you. As you can see from the attached image Felicia Cravens, a writer here, populated 2 of the first three spots in the search. First was the official Texas. gov site, followed by two, two!, references to articles that Felicia wrote. She even came before the Wikipedia page for Texas.
The next time you tell me that one person can’t affect much change, I’m going to show you this image. Felicia is a personal friend and as such I know her tenacity. She never quits. THIS is what happens when we keep pressing on, when we keep moving forward, when we keep pushing for what we believe in. I trust this will inspire you during the long, dark nights when you don’t feel important or that your work is being noticed. Keep moving, we can win!
